John Hamm has served as Stewart’s Chief Information Officer (“CIO”) since 2022 where he is responsible for advancing the company’s digital transformation agenda, including modernization of core title and escrow platforms, expansion of cloud and data capabilities, and the disciplined adoption of artificial intelligence as an operating model. Under his leadership, Stewart has embedded AI and automation into its workflows to convert unstructured title, escrow, and underwriting data into decision‑ready systems—improving speed, accuracy, and scalability while maintaining strong governance, regulatory alignment, and human oversight. He partners closely with executive leadership and Stewart’s Board to align technology investment with enterprise value creation, risk management, and long‑term growth priorities.
Mr. Hamm brings more than three decades of experience leading large‑scale transformation across Fortune 500 companies and enterprise organizations spanning real estate services, energy, and healthcare. Prior to joining Stewart, he served in leadership roles at Texas Children’s Hospital from 2016 – 2022, where he led enterprise technology strategy for one of the nation’s largest pediatric health systems and oversaw a $44 million transformation program that enabled advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and data‑driven operations across clinical, research, and business domains. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Devon Energy, Nexeo Solutions, Accudata Systems, and LyondellBasell, where he led global platform modernization, ERP and data transformations, and complex merger and acquisition integrations.
Mr. Hamm holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in finance and a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Bellevue University. He has also pursued continued executive education in technology and innovation, including programs at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
